Daylight Daycare

As a parent, nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of our children. Our experience (less than 1 year) with Daylight fell far short of my expectations in my child's care overall. Based on my child's reports of their time at the daycare, I have reason to believe that they were mistreated and not given the care that every child deserves and what is required by the state of Illinois. While I cannot go into specifics due to ongoing investigations, I strongly urge parents to look elsewhere for childcare. I understand that every parent's needs and priorities are different. I understand that every child's needs/temperament/personality is different. However, I can say WITH CONFIDENCE that I would not trust Daylight Daycare/Daylight Learning Center to provide the safe, nurturing environment that children need to thrive. Please take my warning seriously, and consider other options for your child's care. I hope this review helps prevent other children from going through the same negative experience that my child did. It's crucial for us parents to choose a daycare that is not only competent, but also compassionate and attentive to each child's individual needs. Parents, trust your gut. If you even THINK something might be going on, it probably is. Please don't make the same mistakes that I've made. To Daylight: For what it's worth and to any staff that do not have ill-intent - It's important to acknowledge the potential long-term impact that negative experiences in a daycare setting can have on a child. Exposure to mistreatment or neglect can result in lasting trauma, affecting a child's emotional well-bring, ability to trust others, and overall development. It's never too late to improve your practices, prioritize the children in your care, and demand new leadership.

This by far is the worst daycare facility I’ve dealt with. The teachers and other staff are phenomenal but the director is disrespectful, malicious and shouldn’t be running a business. First and foremost I prefer to be called by my last name and she constant disrespects me as a paying consumer not calling me by my preferred name and constantly disrespecting me. My son has also received assistance from Illinois action for. Children. They have been providing assistance with my case since 2022-2024.The director notified me in November 2023 that I would be responsible for any out of pocket per week because I didn’t have an approval from Illinois action for children. The issues with this director started when I called the daycare director on three way with a rep from Illinois action for children. They informed her (which she knew already) that my son’s assistance never stopped and she was receiving certificates for the months she was making me pay fully out of pocket. Once I called her out and got my refund check from her she has been nasty and rude with me ever since. She removed my son from daycare because I asked her to call me by name. She lacks compassion and preys on low in come families. Beware !

I was looking for a center that had hours and rates that would work for my family. Upon touring, when I walked in the center was so clean and fresh smelling. The staff was very involved with the children, stopped what they were doing to greet the families, and very friendly and polite. My child loves this place and talk about the staff at home. The experience is the total opposite of what I read on the previous reviews. Try it for yourself!! Its an AWESOME center and REASONABLE!

My kids attended this daycare for 1 school year. I found the director to be unorganized, insensitive and money hungry. The staff never greeted the parents. They babysat and broke up fights. The location, hours and the fact that my children were older and communicated with me is the only reason we stayed. THINK TWICE ABOUT THIS FACILITY.

Do Not take your Babies there. People are not organized they don"t have enough staff and they let everyone fight all the time with no one watching. My one year old lasted only a few weeks when I couldn't stand seeing her cry and mistreated......
