I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Worst place to take kids.
I have called DCFS on them. They hide things that actually happen in that daycare and when incidents happen, they never let you see footage if your child is involved but they tell you in the beginning you have that right.

The reason how I know this is because staff themselves have showed their concerns to me as a parent and many have left. There’s a lot of iffy things going on here and lot’s of racism.

I dont know why they are still in business. Their license should be suspended and be under investigation.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

It amazes me that people will write reviews saying "WORST DAYCARE" from 1 incident. My son has been going to this childcare center since he was 8 months old (Now 12) & I have been disappointed some days & overly excited others ...But I would never say this is the worst Daycare. Each day I drop my child off here I leave & go to work knowing my child is safe & being well taken care of. I am writing this review because I referred a friend & she mentioned to me the comments that others have made on here (2-reviews in 12 years) Ummm Yeah clearly this was not a fit for these people & 1 person never even attended the center so how dare you say its the worst daycare & you've never even been inside? Don't get me wrong I am not upholding or agreeing with the admin being rude to her on the phone, I am just saying that I felt offended when I read the comments knowing what happened may have been true BUT saying it is the "WORST DAYCARE" is misleading to others that are looking for a caring, good daycare that they can send their children & feel safe when dropping them off in others care. This is a big deal to me because I want the world to know that this is a great daycare & when you are having a hard time or just need a shoulder to lean on ... The owner Glenda Thomas is always available with a listening ear. I hope others try out the center themselves than relying on what strangers write negative or positive.

Worst possible day care. I called in today to help my friend look for a day care center. Here's how the conversation went: Me: Hello? Admin: Yes how can I help you? M: Am I reaching for Cradle to the Classroom? Admin: Yes how can I help you? M: I'm looking for the admin. Is she in? I need to discuss--- Admin: FOR THE LAST TIME HOW CAN I HELP YOU? SALBFAHFLBVBO;ADOGSSDI And then she was yelling at me. For goodness' sake I didn't know she's the admin! What the h was that about? I dont care if you had a bad day or something please be professional over the phone! Sorry but now I'm wondering how they're treating the children there.

I am the owner

This is the same reply that I gave the parent at her initial concern up until the date I informed her that she had a 2 weeks’ notice of dismissal.
I not only spoke to both children, but then spoke with the eldest most responsible students in group. I also reviewed video tape of both instances when parent informed of concern.
What the verbal report and video confirmed was that her daughter initiated and engaged herself in horseplay with the male student along with another female student in the class. The other female student confirmed and her parent was notified as well. We are talking about 1 grade difference between the students and the male students was 10yr old.
She was observed when the teacher turned her back and the male student was out of his seat she moved his belongings, emptied his pencil pouch on his chair ect. Both students were observed chasing and swatting at each other in a playful manner and asked to stop several times by the teacher. Even after they were separated she continued until she was picked up by grandmother.
I spoke with both students and gave stern warnings against touching each other or belongings of other students. At one point the male student blurted out that he didn’t even like her and she was a pest. Though I informed student that those were inappropriate words and he apologized, clearly the female child’s feelings were hurt. The male student’s mom does work at the center and without being told she pulled him for several days regarding his part in the matter and hurting the students feelings verbally.
I found at no time was there bullying going on in the school age program by any students.
As a director owner for over 25 years now; I know that every center is not perfect for every family. While I don’t proclaim to be perfect I do claim that we provide a high quality program without bias, be that race, creed, color, gender or family relationship.
Also as a parent of 6, I am so over with “my child would never” comments from me or any other parent. We don’t know what our children have to struggle with to fit in with peers these days. I had to realize that my children are not perfect and as a parent this person will have to realize that too. The parent did make that accusation of a hit toddler and was asked for her child to point out who hit a toddler; parent claimed it was so long ago she doesn't remember. I have dismissed staff for a lot less I certainly don't tolerate abuse of any child in our care and would have let the teacher go had it been proven they hit someone. All licensed daycare centers in IL are licensed through DCFS their offices are located on Indiana street. That information is given to parents upon enrollment it is called the Summary of Licensing Standards for Daycare Centers.
It is easy for some to throw stones, make posts, defame the character of others; rather than face real facts. I would rather that someone choose to be with my center and never any ones last resort. Be Blessed
Kind regards
Glenda Thomas

Worst daycare!! Please dont take your children to this daycare. My daughter attended this place for about 2 months as a last resort. Staff is very ignorant & unfriendly. My dtr complain alot about a boy who would hit her and when she would tell the workers there and they would never do anything about. i spoke to director and she very angry stated that if my daughter was being hit by a 12 year old boy she instigated this kind of behavior. My dtr later told me that this kid is the son of one of the workers who happens to be good friends with the director. This is why she took it very personal and did nothing about it. My dtr also told me that when the toddlers wouldnt listen the workers would hit them on their head. I let the director know i would be taking my dtr out, she got very angry and said "you have a 2 weeks notice to take your dtr out of my daycare". i would like to report this daycare but i dont know where i can do this. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS PLACE
