About the Provider
Welcome to Mi Mundo de Aventuras, Inc. My Home Day Care Group offers you and your child a safe and enjoyable developmental program. I appreciate and value your trust as you place your child with me and my staff for care.
I want to provide an environment that is as much like as your home but also a space where learning happens as a result of fun in a safe and a healthy place.
Good manners are an important part of our growing process, and for this reason, I would like to reinforce the values of honor and virtue and help your child to build into his socio-emotional skills during the time he or she is in my program.
***Parents’ involvement is very important, and I invite you to work as a team to enhance your child’s development.
My background includes the following qualifications:
*A Bachelor of Arts with Emphasis in Foreign Languages from West Virginia University.
*A Master’s degree in Secondary Education with more than 42 credit hours related to Early Childhood from West Virginia University. Since I moved to Chicago, I have been taking Early Childhood classes in St. Augustine and Truman Colleges. In addition, more than 400 hours attending Early childhood workshops through Illinois Action for Children, Carole Robertson, Childre's Home Aid, and others.
*Seven years of experience working with middle and high school students in public schools.
*Six years and six months working as a Home Day Care Provider.
*A mother of two daughters: one is 14 years old and the second one is 8 years old, both of them getting involved helping me with the daycare but also responsible with their school activities.
Some of my goals in caring for your child(ren) are to:
*Build on past experiences that provide a comfort zone for each child and introduce new experiences in language and literacy, music, art, and science.
*Build up a sense of security and respect for others and their property.

Night Care Available: I provide night care for school age children only. Call for more information.
I have two full-time assistants with all the state requiremets. Both of them, speak Spanish as a first languaje but they speak English too.
I have a capacity of 12 children 6 weeks - 5 years old in the morning schedule, plus 3 school age children at the same time or a mixed of 16 children from 6 am - 6 pm.
For night care, I have a capacity of 10 children.
