Description: The availability of affordable quality child care has been cited as one of the most critical barriers to the academic success of students with young children. In recognition of this need and with the goal of providing this essential student support service for adult re-entry parents, the Associated Students and Division of Student Affairs at California State University, Northridge undertook to jointly sponsor the A.S./CSUN Children’s Center, which first opened its doors in 1973. By 1976 it was accepted as a State Child Development Center. In 2001, a new building was completed and the Center was expanded to its present size with a licensed capacity of 140 children. The Center’s first priority has always been to provide a safe, humanistic environment which is conducive to the growth of both children and adults.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
