Cradle And Crayon Child Development Center

Cradle & Crayon, Inc. (CCI) operates the CRREL Child Development Center (the Center) under contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers within the Department of Defense (DoD). The Center provides child development services to families and employees of the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) located at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) as well as to members of the local community. It is the only U.S. Army facility with the ability to extend its services to the community through special arrangements as part of the existing contract. CCI is a non-profit corporation, founded and controlled by a membership consisting of parents of the Center. The Center offers full time day care for children between the ages of six weeks and six years.

​The Center provides a safe and nurturing environment that contributes favorably to the growth and development of children. The Center strives to meet or exceed the expectations of our parents. The Center is certified annually by the Department of Defense, holds a New Hampshire Child Care Program License and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

The Center retains accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – a standard that few area centers continue to pursue due to the extensive application and review process. This includes strict requirements for staff qualifications and training, environment, management, and curriculum, all with the ultimate objective to provide the best support for our children’s learning and development.
