Wendy Leypoldt, who is the owner of Courtney’s Corner daycare advertises that she is 25+ years licensed, but she is not only NOT LICENSED AT ALL, she also was only licensed for 13 year. She claimed to a friend that she only let her license lapse last year due to costs she didn’t want to pass on to parents, but according to the state, that is also a lie since her license lapsed in 2017. It’s possible that she’s a good childcare provider, but if that were the case, there would be no reason to lie to parents. After discovering this, I took my baby out of her care. She refused to refund our deposit despite the fact that it was made in good conscience under the belief that she was honest and licensed, when neither is true. She even called the police to accuse us of trespassing when we went to pick up our son’s things.

I could give this woman zero stars I would. I cannot even begin to explain how terrifying it is to have your child in a situation like the one that Wendy had mine in. It was concerning me that my child was always filthy with spit up in the creases of his chin and neck every time I picked him up and it looked like he was never able to be fully dressed after he was changed from diaper diaper. Buttons were always left undone and it just seem like she might not have enough time for him. Come to find out she was taking on more kids and she admitted and had other infants in her care even though she let me know that she would not be taking on any more infants after taking on my three month son plus all of the other children she was watching. Mind you that Wendy is unlicensed. She lied to me and when confronted about it she became very uncomfortable and did not let me inside of her home to pick up my child ever in order to maintain her lies. Everything ended with her lashing out at me via text message in a very rude and unprofessional manner and me having to go pick my child up in the middle of the day during work. Please save yourself the heartache, worrying, and sadness and do not use this provider.
