This business is professional, the director is very kind. The lesson plan is impressive. You can tust them with your child's safety. The teachers are wonderful most of the time. There seems to be an unwritten policy that if a four or five year old has not learned how to write ther name to the teacher's standard, that child is not given a treat for trying their best. Then that child has to sit there and watch other children consume treats. I believe such a technique lowers children self esteem. There are always wasps nests on the porch on the school. And a low cost child care should not be as rigorous as an expensive private school when it comes to handwriting. The policy on outdoor play in 99 degree weather is a little lax. The teacher sends home notes saying put sunscreen on your child. Now, wHen i was in daycare in the 1980s, only the one sickly child had to wear sunscreen during 80 degree weather. Perhaps this is a technique used to keep the daycare tidy for longer periods. The daycare deserves a 5 star on curriculum and safety , but only onestar on providing self esteem to the children. You know, There is a new Daycare right next door called The ZONE, run by Mrs Bessie Ivory. ( Next to the ballet school) . She has years of experience.
