Description: The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Child Care Assistance Program helps eligible families with their financial obligation for child care. We work to increase the availability, affordability, and quality of the child care services in the 10 1/2 counties of the Choctaw Nation service area. We service Native American children under the age of 13. istock_000008364598xsmallethniccircle
Our program lets parents choose from a broad range of child care providers licensed by the State of Oklahoma. These homes and centers are monitored by the State Department of Human Services (DHS) workers and by a Choctaw Nation monitoring coordinator to make sure standards for health, safety and quality are maintained.
Our goal is to ensure maintenance of minimum standards for the care and protection of children away from their homes and to encourage and assist the relative child care home to meet maximum standards and to work for the development of sufficient and adequate services for child care.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
