I witnessed a teacher grab a child by the upper arm in an aggressive manner. There was no verbal warning or any other communication prior to her storming to the back of the line and grabbing the child. The Director and Asst Director said "I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing". They essentially blamed the child (for tussling with another child in the back of the line). This particular teacher has had multiple complaints regarding her treatment of the children.
We had been attending Children's Universe for over 4 years but I felt my children were no longer in a safe and loving environment once this happened and basically deemed normal or that the child was somehow deserving of it.
Don't send your kids here its terrible! They use food as a punishment & I saw the owner & manager get aggressive & physical with a teacher infront of the kids.
Also a teacher left a student on the bus in the middle of summer at the Walmart parking lot the office tryed to keep it all a secret! It was the student that had to tell his mom what happened! The owners & management only care about money NOT the kids!! This school has been sited & fined over 30 times in the last 2 years that speaks for itself!
The manager of Children's Universe located in Montgomery made a mistake and wrote the wrong date when I notified her about my child's last day of attendance. As a result, they charged me $180 that they should have not charged me. I let them know that they have charged me for a week of daycare they were not supposed to charge me since my child was not longer attending this daycare. They said they would mail me a refund and return my money...... They did not, and we talked about that... and again they said they would mail me a check..... That was in August (2014) and they have not returned the money they charged me because of their own mistake.......
