About the Provider
From the beginning, the founders determined that they not only wanted to meet their own needs, but that they wanted to make quality service available to children from all cross-sections of the community. They incorporated as a private, non-profit corporation and set up a Board of Directors to oversee operations. They sought and received Title XX funding through which services could be made available to low-income families and to children whose homes were found to be too stressful. The United Way of Greater Knoxville provided part of the 25% local match of these Title XX funds.
