For children under three years of age, materials were not offered in sufficient quantity to allow all children to use them at some time during the day and to allow for a range of choices. In room 3, I observed 3 books on the shelf in the book area. Ten children were present in the room during the observation.

All walls and ceilings including doors and windows were not kept clean and in good repair. In rooms 4 and 7, I observed chipped paint and divots on the walls.

All corrosive agents, pesticides, bleaches, detergents, cleansers, polishes, any product which is under pressure in an aerosol dispenser, and any substance which may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled were not stored in a locked room or cabinet. In rooms 2 and 5, I observed a staff purse, stored unlocked within the reach of the children; in room 9, I observed Goo Gone stored in a unlocked closet. Purses were placed in locked storage and the Goo Gone was removed during the visit.

Enhanced staff/child ratios and group sizes were not met. In room 7, I observed one teacher was assigned to care for 10 children ages two years and three years old. During the visit, one child was placed in another room, correcting the violation.

Medication authorization, giving the caregiver standing authorization did not meet the specifications in rule. I did not observe parent authorization for an emergency medication stored in room 6 and an emergency medication stored in room 7.
