Do not bring your children here. They ignore abuse and misconduct until they can't avoid it any longer. Don't make the same mistake I did. These people are not good human beings. It's been six months since I pulled my child and I am still finding out about more ways my infant daughter was abused. Please, please, please do not subject your child to this place.
I want to start off by saying that I love this school. The kids and staff are all great.
However, it has been brought to my attention that one teacher is returning home from a cruise and is NOT being required to get tested for Covid-19.
I understand that it can be quite difficult to get the testing but that is why the CDC recommends a self isolation period of 14 days.
I am not asking for the resignation of this teacher, but I think it is only wise for this teacher to NOT return to work for at least 14 days. At which point it will become clear if they have been infected or not.
I truly hope this doesn’t come off as an attack, I do love this school. Covid-19 is not something to be taken lightly and should be dealt with exactly how the CDC is recommending for the safety of our little guys and gals and their parents.
I will not be bringing my child back to Busy Little Hands until situations like this are dealt with appropriately, unfortunately for my little one who will miss all their friends.
I hope other parents will take the initiative and address the management about properly dealing with the situation and ask that this employee NOT return to the classroom for at least 14 days.
Believe the other reviews. This center is dishonest and continues to violate basic regulations, hiring high school students to back up “teachers” in the afternoon. They do not file injury reports at all, and blame the parent for any issue. This place should be shut down on that fact alone. They are also guilty of false advertising: they do not teach sign language nor do they have a single teacher who is a certified ASL instructor. They do not serve in house meals, they buy cereal and frozen foods and do not post meal plans. The owners are as rude and unprofessional as described in other reports. Do not bring your child here.
Worst experience of my life. I cant believe the audacity of this center. I took my 4 year old special needs son to this center. The owner Jessica was on vacation at the time, so the director took my info and accepted us. I advised her of my sons issues and developmental delays and she said "this wont be an issue, we have a lot of special needs children" and never asked me another question about it, so I assumed it would be fine. Well that couldn't have been further from the truth! As soon as Jessica came back from vacation she treated me like I lied about my sons condition or downplayed it, saying they needed to research him and make sure it would work because he is a liability. That's all she kept saying "he is a liability". She talked to me in a very condescending manner and treated me like I was a pain in her a** 99.9% of the time I was there. It makes me wonder how my son was being treated if she was that rude to me or even her staff. Couple weeks go by and its seeming to cool down, Jessica called with a few issues during this time, still acting like a jerk and also complaining to the people I have picking him up on how bad he is and showing how mad she was about it to them as well. I even got transportation set up to have the school drop him there and she had all kinds of issues with that, saying more of the liability stuff. Which I do understand he could be, but she could have gone about it in a better way and not as snobby, degrading and rude. Then I get a call today that my son is being unreasonable and fighting the staff (which is part of his developmental delays/autism, he doesn't like to be touched so he has meltdowns if forced to do anything etc) and was told I needed to have him picked up immediately. So I have my friend pick him up and my friend proceeded to tell me on arrival, she was given all his things, my check for payment back and told my friend(not the parent) that he wouldn't be allowed back. This is atrocious customer service. The fact they just kicked him out without at least calling or talking to me is ridiculous. The way I was treated by Jessica was absurd. She always looked angry and anytime I tried to be friendly I was met with cold, dead and hatefilled eyes. Everytime I went in to pick him up the staff all looked depressed and that they weren't happy, but the staff was not the issue; they were polite and understanding of my sons issues and never complained to me about him. I even asked proactively if he was good, bad etc and the staff all reported he was good, minus diaper changes which he fights sometimes with everyone including myself. Jessica the owner is the one who had the problem. I can not believe how rude and disrespectful she was about this situation. If she felt that strongly she should have told me in the beginning so I didnt revolve my whole schedule around this and set up transportation etc. The fact she treats a single mother who has a special needs child with such distain, truly disgusts me. I highly recommend going somewhere else. This was a horrible horrible experience. I can not state this enough. NOT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE! I work with small to medium sized business owners on a day to day basis for my work. Never have I experienced such a poorly ran business or customer service in my life. I will be reporting this to anyone and everyone I can, BBB etc.
My 3 year old was laying in a corner when I came to pick up both Jessica and Rene approached saying there was an accident. His nose was smashed into his face and he was not fully alert. Within 2 minutes he was passed out in the back of my car while I rushed him to the hospital. Neither one of them showed any concern towards him and in fact offered me a job and called me the next to to follow up with that but never asked how he was or how his surgery to fix his nose was. My sons teacher also happen to quit right after the accident. She explained to me how her and other teachers felt 911 should have been called and Jessica and Rene said it wasn't needed. Yet in a cps report they stated that if I was one more minute later they would have called. My son laid there for over an hour in this condition. My job as a mom is to protect him and guide him and as teachers and care takers I gave my trust in them that they would do the same and instead they hurt him and still they get to continue to take in business and live off of what they are doing to these children. I feel like any parent who feels any desire to have their children attended this facility should take a minute to do some research and please do not leave your children alone with this people
My experience having my children attend this center brought a new meaning to the age old saying "don't judge a book by its cover". At first sight, this place looked as good as it gets in terms of child care. However I soon found out how it feels to be degraded and how it feels to be helpless to the words of misguided and abusive adults that hide behind a prestigious facade. My children were racially profiled, singled out, and excessively subjected to mental abuse for being guilty of being toddlers. There were too many times to count that my children had serious bruises and cuts that were unaccounted for, even when I questioned those responsible what had happened. Yet Not only that, but during our time there I saw an incredible revolving door of talented staff members subjected to a similar abuse from their megalomaniac management. This could have been a very pleasant place because of the well kept facility, amazing teachers, and good kids ... yet the good was far overshadowed by the wrath of a few bad apples. The biggest one of the bunch being co-owner Jessica Lloyd. Her lies, belittling unsolicited opinions, and incapacity to love children added to the trauma we encountered during what should have been a precious time in our lives. Learn from my mistake and pass on this one.
