Description:
Hi, I’m Amanda Brown and the proud owner of Brown Bear Daycare. My mission is to provide a safe, clean, and warm home environment as well as facilitating learning opportunities through play art, music, and other activities. I am state licensed and have certifications in First Aid, CPR, and food safety. I provide transportation to local schools, all meals, snacks, and field trips are included in the tuition. I seek to develop each child’s self-confidence, character, health, and respect. I offer a smaller atmosphere for more one-on-one interaction. I believe it’s important to partner with families to ensure that each child feels nurtured, valued, and experiences success. I am currently enrolling for full time care. My hours of operation are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Best Daycare in the area! I took my kids there; she was recommended by a woman I work with. Her house is clean, the kids come back clean and happy. She has a nice, big yard with lots of toys. She has an indoor play area. She is great with the children. They always tell me “Mrs. Brown gives good snacks!” She is reasonably priced and fair. Her children are well-behaved and sweet. I would recommend Brown Bear daycare to any working mom.
I would never recommend this place as child care. When we went to meet her the first time we walked in and her one year old was choking in his high chair on food (we should have taken that as a sign). She made it sound so great like she genuinely cared, first day went good. Second day, my son (one year old) choked on food and threw up on himself from it. She sent him home and he couldn’t return for 24 hours. She also at that point told me he hadn’t gotten his food yet so he wasn’t choking he must have been sick. Little did she know my 5 year old tells me everything and told me she had given him food on his plate and he had started eating and choked. So even though that is why he threw up he could not return for 24 hours. Then she last minute closed her daycare that following Monday for a personal injury she could have given notice about over the weekend but she gave me 35 minutes notice to find someone else to care for my children. She then continued all week to send my son home everyday saying he had diarrhea but he didn’t have any when he was with anyone but her, when I brought up my concern about leaving work everyday she said my kids were not to return and kept my entire months worth of state assistance so I cannot her childcare elsewhere, again, with no notice.
