About the Provider

We are a free, full-day, 5-day per week public prekindergarten program for Brattleboro preschoolers turning 4 years old before September 1st. Program hours are 8:00 am to 2:45 pm. Our students enjoy the benefits of specialized instruction in Music, Library, and Art classes. Other opportunities may include: lessons from Brattleboro Environmental Education Center, art & music through the Brattleboro Museum of Art Center and the River Gallery School, cooking and gardening lessons, and visits from the Bookmobile. We offer multiple opportunities each day for outdoor play and exploring the community. Our program is designed with the understanding that play is essential for young children's learning and development. By intentionally structuring play through interactions with peers, objects, and community activities, educators can support key learning outcomes. Children are given the chance to play in environments that support their growth and strengthen interests that help them enhance their language and literacy skills, build social connections, and develop problem-solving abilities, curiosity, and creativity. We connect with each child in a way that respects their unique interests, abilities, cultures, and differences. Our curriculum includes regular assessments to track progress towards early learning goals. We value parental involvement and encourage parents to participate in conferences at least twice a year, working together to create a rich educational environment for every child. Together, we're building a warm, welcoming community where everyone feels safe, cared for, appreciated, and loved!
