Description: Running and jumping may seem like easy activities for a child to do. Sadly, a startling number of children cannot perform them without being winded and out of breath. According to the Center for Disease Control, childhood obesity rates have doubled over the past 20 years for children ages 6 to 11. And Hispanic children are at particular risk for obesity as up to 23 percent are considered obese when measured by body mass index standards.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
