About the Provider

Welcome! I'm Ms. Lizzette Bonilla, founder of Bonilla's Little Butterflies LLC a bilingual group family daycare in Brentwood N.Y. Allow me to share some information about myself. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Spanish Education from St. Joseph's College and my Master's degree in General/Special Education from Long Island University. I am certified to teach bilingual and ESL. My teaching experience spans 12 years and includes a variety of settings and age groups. I have taught preschoolers with disabilities aged 3-5, bilingual kindergarten, 3rd grade general education students, 4th grade special education students, 6th grade bilingual and 7th and 8th grade Spanish.

Teaching is my passion. I chose this career to help my students not only succeed in school, but in life as well. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than knowing that I have made a positive impact in a child's life. Witnessing the progress my students made throughout the year and being a part of their journey and growth is incredibly rewarding.

Teaching kindergarten was an eye-opening experience for me. Some of my students entered my classroom without having a grasp on basic concepts. This firsthand experience motivated me to do more for my community. With 12 years of teaching experience in a classroom setting, I am excited to put my knowledge to use by offering a daycare that goes beyond typical care. At Bonilla's Little Butterflies LLC, our daycare is set up like a classroom, and we run it like we would, if we were in a classroom. We have routines, we follow a schedule, it’s very structured. We teach the little one's basic concepts in both English and Spanish, ensuring they are prepared for school when the time comes.

Now 3 years of experience in a childcare with an educator's approach setting with school age children, we have created a fun, safe, caring, loving, nurturing, learning environment and a positive memorable experience for the children. As well as a supportive environment for the families we serve. Providing quality childcare with love and patience for every child. We treat every child like family!

My goal is to guide these little caterpillars towards transforming into beautiful butterflies. Meaning our goal is help each child build confidence, independence and be successful in life!

Thank you,

Ms. Lizz

Common questions

The answers people ask us for most often.

How do I contact a provider I found here?

In most cases the provider’s direct number is included in their listing. When it is not, we list the number of the Child Care Licensing Program — you may call that number for more information, or search for the provider online.

Will ChildcareCenter pass a message on to a provider for me?

No. ChildcareCenter only provides information, so enrolment questions, tuition questions and job enquiries need to go to the provider directly using the contact details on their listing. We cannot forward them and we cannot share contact details a provider has not published.

I run a daycare — how do I correct or remove my listing?

Use suggest an update on your listing to correct any detail, or claim the listing to manage it yourself. If you have closed or no longer provide care, contact us and we will update the listing to show that.
