About the Provider
Barnette Academy is a play-based daycare located in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood. We serve children age six weeks through 5 years of age. We believe that children learn best when they are free to play and explore in a safe, spacious, and inspiring environment. At Barnette Academy, we utilize an emergent curriculum where teachers plan activities and lessons based on the specific children they are working with. Teachers carefully observe interests, questions, and skill levels of the children and use those observations to guide topics, themes, and projects.
