Program Philosophy At Little Fawns Early Learning Program, we believe that childhood is a time of wonder, growth, discovery, and connection. Nestled in a nurturing home environment, our program is thoughtfully designed to support the whole child¿socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively¿through play, nature, and meaningful relationships. Our Philosophy We are a play-based, nature-inspired early learning program with a strong emphasis on social-emotional development. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, respected, valued, and heard. Our approach is guided by the belief that learning should be joyful, hands-on, and rooted in each child's natural curiosity. We follow a child-centered philosophy, meaning we observe, listen, and respond to children's interests as they grow and learn. By building experiences around children's questions, ideas, and discoveries, we create meaningful opportunities for learning that foster confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of exploration. Whether children are exploring insects in the garden, creating mud pies in the outdoor kitchen, building structures with loose parts, engaging in dramatic play, or sharing stories with friends, they are actively developing important skills across all areas of learning. Our program values: Play as the foundation of learning Strong relationships and emotional well-being Outdoor exploration and nature-based experiences Respect for each child's individuality and developmental journey Family partnerships and open communication Inclusive, welcoming learning environments About Kristina Kristina Barber is the owner and educator of Little Fawns Early Learning Program.
