With a few months left in the school year, I would like to say I am very happy with the education my son has received while at Atkins ABC. I have never had a problem with any of the teachers and they have always treated my son very nice. Mrs. Jenn is a great asset to the program and really pushed the children to do their best. My son is doing more than playing all day. I enjoy being a part of my son's education and like how the teachers send home simple to-do's for us to work on together. I am not sure why the person complained above about supplying party items-that will not stop until their child graduates...It is just part of it. I am glad the school offers the fun activities and I am happy to supply items for the school. I would definitely recommend this program to any other parent of a preschool age child. Keep up the awesome work Atkins ABC!!!
My child has had and awesome experience at atkins abc program! He has learned so much, he learned his alphabet, numbers and counting, how to write, nursery rhymes, how to get along with others and be polite, and made lots of friends. His teachers Alisha and Tanya were excellent teachers! They taught the children and played with them, they were super nice and would not hurt any child. The most they can and did do to my child was time out. They gave them plenty of time to eat, it was the child's decision to eat or not they did not. They had several times a day to go to the bathroom so if they needed to go any other time it was because they didn't take the time to go when they were told to. I also have worked there as a substitute teacher and I got to know the teachers and principle well. I have no complaints about anything. My child also learned so much and I know it because he passed the kindergarten assessment! In the end of every grade in school if your child fails or passes the grade it is a reflection on the parents and home life of the child. I just want to thank the teachers at atkins abc because they do not have an easy job!
Its almost the end of the school year and my child hasn't learned a thing other than half or bits and peaces of nursery rhymes. The teachers are very rude and sometimes mean the director / main lady isn't ever there so if anything happened or you needed her she wouldn't even be there for your children, who would you have to go to. Teacher Alisha trys to get the students that are not so much liked by her transferred to special needs saying they have difficult time with certain things when they have absolutely no trouble. Tip from me and my experience go to another preschool before you have learning problems with your child. Also the children dont even get to eat there food because the teachers just dont want to sit and wait while they eat so they go hungry all day while at school. I taught my own child within two months everything and some that he should of learned in preschool before preschool even started and im just a stay at home mother with an eleventh grade education. My child not only did not learn anything the whole entire school year but he even forgot most of everything i taught him because they do nothing as far as teaching. They don't provide transaction either like most of all other preschools. And with thankfulness its only the Atkins Arkansas abc preschool. They also make all the parents provide everything they need including washing covers and sheets, all party material /supplies, medical supplies /bandages /thermometers /cleaning wipes /and too many more to list and dont think its for just your child because they want you to get all these things for all the children. The most that disturbs me out of all is how much they don't learn because they don't learn anything but how to play and sing half of nursery rhymes. At the end they try to say its the parents fault, they didn't learn. To add my child used the bathroom on himself after asking numerous times to go use the bathroom because the teacher told him no while he was in tears crying while asking to go. They told me he didn't ask and said that's why they need a change of clothes, and not to mention the thirteen gallon trash bag stuffed with clothes that i had donated to them for the children. And the ruler that had been threatened to woop my son with but yet the only punishment allowed is putting them in the corner for no more than four minutes, ya right! If you ask me i say fine that preschool and shut it down and make sure the teachers and director are band from teaching and from any school involvement . If my child could not get into another preschool but that one my child would not go. I just wish i knew about all this before i put him in the Atkins Arkansas abc preschool but thank god he finally gets to go to a different one.
