Clean and safe, and teacher are trustworthy, communicative and extremely nurturing.
We have been attending Arco Iris Somos (AIS) programs since our daughter was 2.5 years old -- she is now 9! When she graduated preschool, we have continued doing the Summer camps as well as the Saturday enrichment program. All of the programs are top notch! Native Spanish speakers and a warm, caring immersion environment with lots of attention. The parent community is also so kind and welcoming here. Staff is always available for questions/concerns and they have twice/year formal parent-teacher meetings with feedback as well. Facilities are clean, well organized and safe. The Director is always available for any feedback/concerns and is really passionate about early childhood education. Many wonderful science, art, nature, cooking, music, dance, cultural education and other projects. To give an example, it is amazing how the 4-5 year old kids in preschool were learning about the solar system, reading, and doing basic math in Spanish! We are not native Spanish speakers but have always felt welcomed by the AIS community and we remain friends with most of the families that attended preschool with us years later. Attending AIS for preschool was one of the best decisions we have ever made for our daughter. We just wish they had an elementary school! We wish AIS the best in their move to their new facility in Rockville.
I have been working at AIS for 7 years. The works hours are very good. Since I have children still in public school, I chose to work at this school because they follow Montgomery County close ups. The working environment is very warm. I love to work here cause I love to teach children Spanish in a wonderful safe and emotionally supporting school.
The director of this center is the least professional and most rude person I have ever met in my life, she treats the staff and teachers interested in finding a place to work super badly. It is sad that such unkind and disrespectful people are running a place where our children should learn and especially how the principal can treat anyone like that and pretend that she has a place of early education. a horrible experience with this person. a place to get away !!
I never met such a rude person as the owner in that place. I saw her how she treat the teachers and also the kids. Not recommmend them at all
