We had our daughter in care with this provider in April 2018. Initially, it seemed like it was going to be a good fit, but things quickly deteriorated and we took our child out of daycare and found another provider. Of the care itself, I have no complaints. In addition to the provider, Jessica, being extremely condescending and rude to us, our major complaints with her are as follows:
1) She has refused to provide us receipts for our time with our daughter in her care. We need them for our FSA, and have communicated as such. She has demanded instead that we send her the FSA forms to sign, but then even when we complied with that, refused to sign for every line item. This is something that would have taken very little time on her part, even a handwritten receipt would have been sufficient, but her stubborn commitment to poor customer service has become a waste of time. And this situation is still not resolved now, over a month later.
2) She refused to communicate with both parents, instead only communicating with one of us, even when that parent was out of town or out of communication. She also agreed in contract to provide us with a daily update when we'd pick up our daughter from her daycare, which she ended up rarely doing, even when asked for.
In the interest of fairness, tensions began when she noted that we were missing a few vaccines from our schedule (something unintentional on our part, and a situation that we are in the process of fixing). For a time, she agreed to allow our child to continue attending while we worked with the doctor to get our child up to date. She then, suddenly, while I was on a business trip, told my husband last minute that she would no longer accept our daughter back, even though by then we had made up 4 of the shots, with more scheduled. She has had a chronic tendency to agree to something, only to change her mind last minute, which has made dealing with her extremely stressful.
We decided to report this daycare as a result of the issue with her not giving us receipts, but with the other factors as well, I feel it is my responsibility to give parents the warning we wish we had before ever signing up with Apple Blossom Daycare. There are other daycare outfits in Medford and the surrounding areas that are much more respectful of you and your time.
