I do not recommend Brenda Hill. I had a feeling early on that she was going to be problematic, but decided to try to remain positive because I didn’t have any other options. Brenda did not listen to any of the instructions or requests I made for the care of my 9 month daughter. She would dismiss everything I said as if I didn’t know better because I was a younger parent and she (as a 71 year old woman) has more experience. When I tried to talk to her about my concerns, she would become argumentative, defensive, and disrespectful. It was so bad one time I left in tears because I was so upset. When I notified her I was leaving, she tried to sue me saying I didn’t give her two weeks notice.
My child was at this facility for approx 3 months. I thought the small home environment would be good for him. His face was scratched up one day, they called to advise and I went over straight away. They said an older child did it and they handled it and made sure the kid was not coming back. Another time, I picked him up and his face was scratched up again, they did not even call me or tell me about it until I mentioned it to them. I made other arrangements for my child afterward and did not take him back. I politely notified them via text that he would not return and they requested a 2-week notice. I did not provide that notice seeing as though they were not providing proper care and attention to my child. I would not recommend this care giver to any one. Additionally, I was never sent a tax form for 2018 services that was paid to them.
