About the Provider

Description: Welcome to Ms. Annie's Daycare and Learning Center. Ms Annie's was established in 1998 in Northeast San Antonio. We opened a second location in Universal City in 2010. Our original center is licensed for 97 children and our Universal City location is licensed for 82. We are a husband and wife team, and we personally manage both centers. We are also both state certified child care directors.

We are large enough to offer a professional learning environment, and yet small enough to give children the individual attention they need and deserve. As private owners, we are able to provide a more thorough and caring management style than you might find at a larger corporate daycare center.

Most of our current staff has been in our employ for a number of years. When we hire new staff, we are very careful to hire only people who have experience and who are dedicated to working with children. Our most important concern is the safety and education of the children in our center. Preparing our students for the future is our mission.

We encourage families to come by and take a tour of our center. No appointment is necessary, but it is best to call ahead to be sure that we can provide the time to answer your questions. It is also usually best if parents come early in the morning (before 10:00) or later in the day (after 2:30). We truly look forward to meeting you, and we encourage you to bring your children so that they can experience our center firsthand.

Additional Information: Initial License Date: 9/18/1998.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I was smart enough to show up early one day to pick up my kid and caught the teacher slapping my child on the arm. A police report was filed and I removed my children from this "child care providers" instantly. Use your intuition and follow your gut. My child was just placed into a higher age group class. I knew something wasn't quite right at the end of each day. I knew my baby wasn't going through adjustments into daycare because we had already been using this center for months. I was horrified and had extreme guilt for using such a low class childcare center. My quick thinking may have saved my 18 months old from further mistreatment. God bless.

Please if you know what is best for your child please reframe from taking your kids here. I was unlucky enough to have both the manager’s daughter and herself come out and use very foul words at my son and myself all over parking in the wrong spot. The daughter told me to move the second I parked, but while I was getting ready to move the daughter felt like it would be better to continue to scream and cuss at me while banging on my driver side window until she broke it (f-You and you and your F-in kid need to _f----- move) at me and my son. Then once I moved and parked somewhere else that wasn’t on their parking lot, the two ladies continued to follow me screaming and cussing at me and my son while I walked down the public sidewalk to the meeting spot to pick up my little girl after school. This caused the crossing guard to stop doing her job, crossing kids across the street just so she could tell the lady’s that I had done what they had asked and they should go back inside and just stop what they were doing. They ignored this request by the crossing guard and continued cussing and screaming at my son and me to the point the Crossing guard told them she was calling the police, to which they replied that they had already done that. They did call the police by saying to 911 that I had a shotgun and was threatening to use it on them (I never said anything of the kind, not even close, unless you can get this from me asking them to leave me alone and go back inside their daycare), in return got the cops there fast. While the cops where coming it was now the two lady’s and their staff all standing outside smoking cigs while cussing at me from the other side of the parking lot. Now I am greatly concerned about the actions of these two lady’s and there staff, because while they all where cussing at me and making up lies to tell the cops to get them faster, who was watching your kids inside while they were being completely irresponsible daycare workers and irresponsible citizens. Plus since I did nothing wrong other than park in the wrong place and moved when asked to by them I just can’t understand why the police did not say or do anything about their outright lies and violence towards my kid and me, plus they broke my car window.  Shame on you SAPD you should do a better job when you are missed used in such a way by obvious liars. So if I was you and was in need of a Daycare, this place would not be the place I would use no matter how cheap they are. In my opinion even if they were watching kids for $1. I still would be very worried that my kid, or kids where not the top of what they should be doing, because to me they seemed like complaining about a parking space meant more to them than the souls they are in charge of, period. I think not using this daycare would be in your best interest. Hope you have taken my opinion and found another daycare where they care about the job and your children.
