About the Provider
YMCAs are the nation’s largest provider of child care. We provide high-quality and affordable programs that are family-centered and values-based to nurture children’s healthy development. Our preschool and school-age child care programs encourage family involvement through special events, newsletters, parent advisory committees, and volunteers in the classrooms.
All programs are licensed by the State of California, and all staff meet or exceed licensing regulations for background checks, education and experience. Beyond those requirements, YMCA of Silicon Valley has developed a set of quality standards for all child care sites that far surpass state licensing requirements. Contact your child care site for a copy of the requirements.
Whether your child needs preschool or after-school enrichment, we emphasize values such as caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Like all Y programs, everyone is welcome, and financial assistance is available.
