I wanted to offer a review giving useful information not based on someone's negative opinion on how the owner runs HER business (referring to Kris' comments pertaining to the 'snowdays' and employee compensation). I have had my kids at KLLC since they were 2 months old and recommend them to everyone. The staff is always honest, helpful, and entertaining for the kids. Everyone there including the owner is accommodating and willing to work around your schedule. She was very flexible over the summer when I had some difficult situations. Multiple staff members have told me how she surprises them and takes care of them during the holiday seasons but her willingness to accommodate their family lives is what keeps them there. Kris states that they were not paid on these days. The owner actually gave them an option to come in one day and receive pay to 'catch up' on work without the kids around. As a public education teacher I also did not get paid for these 'snow days'. Welcome to the world of teaching! Please do not base your decision on one hateful persons review, please take the time to see the facility, I guarantee you will feel the warmth and love that I did when I visited it and everyday when I drop my 18 month old twins. And yes the owners smiling face is always there to greet me and open the door as I haul two kiddos out!

We have done business with KLLC for the past 4 years. The teachers and staff by and large are fantastic, but the owner has questionable ethics and moral standards... After the recent closures of the center for 2 days due to weather (Jan 2014), I confronted the owner and asked if she had paid her teachers for these days. She responded with the sentiment she did not feel obligated to pay her teachers for hours they did not work and "let them have the option to use their vacation" for the time missed and even offered to pay them half a day for the first weather day. For the second weather day she "allowed the teachers to come in and work" although most of the teachers have children of their own that were home for that day and therefore could not come in. On the surface this sounds logical, until you factor the daycare collected full tuition for both affected days (40% of one weeks tuition for 250+ students = big number). I tried on 2 separate occasions to influence her to do "the right thing" and pointed out she would not be out one cent if in fact she did pay her teachers for the day, the margins would have been the same as if it were business as usual. Most of the teachers are not paid much and most need their jobs to get by like us all. The fact that she would capitalize on this event and pad her margins is just despicable. I fear this will effect morale and work ethic of the teachers and their overall spirit. If she is not taking the best possible care of her employees, one cannot expect the best results in their work. There has been a considerable amount of turnover in this center over the past 4 years we have done business with them and I am starting to understand why! I did do some cross checking with other facilities in the area and they did pay their teachers for the days. The owner is very proud of the "free week" of vacation they grant per year and this was brought up several times during our discussions, not relevant to weather closures, but a "perk" I guess. After checking around a bit more, this feature also is not unique to KLLC. Matter of fact, I have since found other centers offer one week for every year you are with them. So it has lead us to look at other daycare centers in the area and I would encourage anyone else who is reading this to do the same. Our kids have made some good friends at the daycare and we will always be thankful for the teachers that have loved our kids so dearly, but I expect the highest moral standards from the people taking care of our children and I just don't see that in the leadership of this business. I am glad to report there are other centers out there with a different outlook, so look around ;-) I hope this helps you make an educated decision in the caretaker of your children.
