I absolutely loved this place! It is conveniently located and some of the staff seemed to genuinely care for the children. The first significant problem that arose was receiving a call with no context to let me know, Cassandra Sturgil, the owner, was removing my son from the facility because my mother asked the feeding schedule per my request (with my previously provided consent). Once I made it clear that a question about my son’s feeding routine should not affect his child care, she changed her mind and actually told me to try and prevent my mom from picking up my son. I agreed to appease her request.
Then my son got a diaper rash. A common, often seen rash. He was picked up and taken to the doctor as per protocol, and I got the doctor’s note allowing him to return to daycare. Already bothered, Cassandra demanded additional health information that violates HIPAA regulations and guidelines. She even told off my son’s pediatrician after he told her exactly what she needed to know and what she was NOT allowed to request as HIPAA laws have established. As a result, my son was kicked out of this daycare.
This has been reported and steps are being taken to ensure this doesn’t happen to anymore children, but my family and I strongly advise to look elsewhere for child care!
