Bright Angels Academy & Daycare - Bradenton FL Child Care Facility

Since April 21st of 2025, Bright Angels Academy and daycare have been giving a number of issues. One of the staff members there, she is thin around average higher and has brown/blonde highlight hair, has consistently hit my child. He comes home reporting she hits him on his face, back and back of the head. Ana, the director, sent a letter one telling me I owed $250 because I missed a week. I went through my financials and receipts trying to find the week not including the week of this incident and could not find it. Every previous receipt I got from this facility had a credit so u was unsure how this happened. I called Ana on three separate occasions asking if we could sit down and see where this week was. She provided copies of my payment envelopes and allowed me to look over the form of the weeks signing that I made the payment. The week she claims I did not pay was the week of 3/10/25. I was not given the form of 3/10/25 sign sheet to review nor was there a copy of the envelope. I had my ATM receipt from pulling the cash out for the daycare payment. This facility only accepts cash, money order or checks. I was paying in cash. The third time I called Ana regarding this issue. She screamed at me and continuously cut off everything I tried to say. I asked her if we could sit down and discuss this issue and I gave her the option to choose the time and day that would work for her. She refused to listen and told me and I quote “man I don’t need to sit with you; how I do my financials is not your business, you do yours your way and I’ll do mine my way” I asked if she had copies of the receipts she’s given to me showing my credit/balance. She refused to answer and then later told me she did not need to keep those. I informed her that her date of saying I did not pay was not matching with the current week I knew I did not pay. She told me “pay it or don’t I don’t care” three or so weeks passed and I started paying with a money order. On 5/19/25 as I was picking up my son Ana told her employee to call me when I picked up my son and she did. She started telling me I owe $120. I once again informed her the day is not matching and the week she’s claiming I did not pay I have proof that I paid via my ATM receipts. She continued to cut me off and not listen to anything I had to say. She told me I can take my child and leave the daycare if I don’t want to pay it. I reminded her how she told me she doesn’t care if I pay it or not and she denied saying so. I told her again we can sit down like adults and review this information she told me she’s never there when I picked my child up because she has other things to do. I informed her I would not mind coming in later in the morning or during lunch if it worked for her. She continued to over talk me about how I owe this money. I again asked her if she had copies of the receipts she gave to me because that would be the final way to determine what went wrong where. She continued to say the envelopes and paper sheet are enough and I informed her it was not as to my records that doesn’t match. She told me my records aren’t her problem. I asked her if they misplaced the envelope and she claimed she is the only one with access to the box and it did not get lost. I informed her I know for sure that I paid it and without copies of my receipts i am not paying for a week when there is doubt in place about where the money came from. My sons weekly fee is $95 and she is saying I owe $120 which is $5 more than the $20 late fee if I indeed did miss a week. She refuses to sit and discuss this like a professional adult. The facility gives issues to outsiders (ex: therapist) coming to help children, children coming in late, the food they serve is not the standard lunch menu for daycares. My son has complied of seeing ants in the food and roaches throughout the daycare. On top of all these issues when I asked Ana about the teacher hitting my child she denied that it ever happened. My son told me on multiple occasions and multiple times of this teacher putting her hands on him and everytime they tried to tell me he was lying. Ana and her staff to not run an up to date facility and are disrespectful and negligent to the children attending. I am unsure if this is because my son and I are not Hispanic or if it is across the board. This facility is also less than 5 miles from 2-3 registered sex offenders and they do not tell you that up front it is posted on the inside wall. This facility needs to be investigated immediately before more children are harmed or more families are frauded out of their finances due to the greedy and narcissistic behavior of the staff.

This was the first daycare my son attended, and it was the worst experience. Ana is very rude and unprofessional, she treats everyone as they are beneath her. She took advantage of me not being familiar with having ELC, not only was she collecting money from the county funding but she was overcharging me as well. And when questioned about it she became frustrated because there was no logical explanation as to why she was charging so much. I loved the teachers, but was unaware that only 1 spoke English so I feel that put my son behind on speaking properly. My son was 2 at the time and came home with bite marks on his chest and a gash on his face from another child hitting him with a toy. I always gave extra clothes but didn't always receive them back, one time my son had an accident and they literally had me pick him up wearing only a shirt and underwear. I have proof of everything I've said. I definitely would NOT recommend this daycare to anyone, I actually tell people about the things I've had to deal with. She should be ashamed.

Anna that runs this facility is very nude. She charges everyone different and does not have ANY structure.No hand book. Only nasty text msgs all day long. Facebook page is a str8 lie. My child has been telling me that the staff puts the kids heads over the sink and runs excessive amounts of water over there heads to go to sleep. Now water boarding. Under staffed. She made you paid even if the kid is not there. They can't hold staff. You have to provide lunch and snacks. The daycare is being ran out of one house. Kids come home dirty. Kids are always hungry. At first my child loved to go but now my child cries when I tell them it's time to go to daycare. RED FLAGS. This daycare makes alot of money and yet the house is run down and needs a lot of tlc. House does not even have a driveway but Anna drives a Mercedes-Benz SUV. Anna loves to brag now she lives in Lakewood Ranch.Plz do not put your flesh and blood in this facility. Do not make the same mistake that I made.

I have my 2 little ones since they were babies, the older on is an excellent student, he was capable to read before kindergarden and the other one is at preschool and she is advance for VPL, my children feel like it was their second home, always excited to go,
