I have used this provider for less than 6 months

If you truly value your child's safety, I strongly advise against enrolling them here. I just unenrolled my son after witnessing a disturbing incident. Last Thursday, I walked in to find a staff member using excessive force to slam my child into a chair. I immediately told her, “Do not slam my baby in the chair like that again.” I could feel her anger toward him even before she spoke to me. I didn't resort to name-calling; I simply stood up for my child. She claimed he was "in timeout," but that's hardly an excuse.

This facility lacks transparency—they do not write incident reports or keep parents informed about happenings in the daycare. After this alarming encounter, I reported it to the director. She assured me I would receive an apology the next day and mentioned that the staff member had just returned from maternity leave. That apology never came. On Monday, November 25, 2024, I formally notified the director that my son’s last day would be November 26, 2024.

My son's father followed up and discovered that the director claimed I misinterpreted what I had seen. To say I "misinterpreted" witnessing his mistreatment is simply outrageous. When I called back, the director questioned why I spoke to another parent who happened to be friends with her, implying I shouldn’t share my experience. I firmly stated that I have the right to discuss what happened to my child with anyone.

The director’s behavior is unprofessional, filled with drama and immaturity. Reporting any issues at this daycare feels pointless—she seems more concerned about collecting tuition than about the well-being of the children. I cannot stress enough how detrimental this environment is for kids. They do not genuinely care and will mishandle situations instead of addressing them directly. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Ms.Caldwell is the only one in this ficility with a NASTY attitude .she wants to be the owner so bad that'll she pretend to know EVERYTHING just so you do not have to go over her head .unprofessional and I'd rather her take my order than keep my child .

I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

Very unprofessional, Ms. Caldwell was beating around the bush about letting my child start. At first it was an opening on 1st shift, THEN the spot was taken. Ok cool, I then made arrangements at my job to switch shifts so my child could attend daycare on 2nd shift. Then she proceeded to tell me they can't have any overlapping???

Common questions

The answers people ask us for most often.

How do I contact a provider I found here?

In most cases the provider’s direct number is included in their listing. When it is not, we list the number of the Child Care Licensing Program — you may call that number for more information, or search for the provider online.

Will ChildcareCenter pass a message on to a provider for me?

No. ChildcareCenter only provides information, so enrolment questions, tuition questions and job enquiries need to go to the provider directly using the contact details on their listing. We cannot forward them and we cannot share contact details a provider has not published.

I run a daycare — how do I correct or remove my listing?

Use suggest an update on your listing to correct any detail, or claim the listing to manage it yourself. If you have closed or no longer provide care, contact us and we will update the listing to show that.
