I am highly concerned about the ethics of the staff at this facility. They accepted a child well above Kindergarten age appropriateness and provided the parents with a "report card" for the completion of grade 1. The center does NOT advertise as qualified to teach students in first grade, and the report card that was used was an edited version of the North Bergen Public School District first grade standard based report card. They are clearly not ethical on any level due to the fact that they accept this child at their center instead of doing the right thing by informing the parents that they should enroll their child in a proper Department of Education based school where they would receive the proper education based on the NJ State Learning Standards. As a result of this center's unethical behavior, the student is now one grade level behind due to the fact that they missed out on an entire year of legitimate NJ DOE schooling. As a professional in education, this situation is highly disappointing. I hope that this center is evaluated on a more rigorous scale moving forward.
