I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I’m not sure how the facility is these days, but I personally do not recommend for anyone to send their children to. At 11, I was a short-time client of the afterschool program many years ago. Tuition rate was unreasonable, as my mother was paying $50 a week for a program that was hardly fruitful. Children behaved inappropriately towards each other and it often went unchecked. Bathroom stalls didn’t have locks and I was walked in on (intentionally) several times by other children. The staff ignored me when I said I was uncomfortable, and used these kids being much younger than me as excuse. I was the oldest and the only female child in the grade-school group. Boys would put their hands on me and were disrespectful. I was shamed for the smallest infractions, and my minor mistakes were thrown in my face when I complained of others doing even worse towards me. It was disgusting considering all the staff were women undermining my concerns. While one boy who took things too far was punished, I still didn’t feel valued. On another note, the afterschool program lacked educational merit and kids were barely given time to do homework before being sent outside to play. Because of this, I went home with unfinished work, which was previously a rare occurrence. Snacks provided lacked nutritional value (i.e. sugary cookies and artificially flavored drinks). I question the educational credentials of the staff because I saw a lack of intellectualism (ex. Staff member rudely asked “what?” when I asked how to spell a literary term). Even though it was just a few months, I felt incredibly unsafe and undervalued. Considering the way many negative situations were handled, I grew concerned for clients that attended after my departure. It’s been well over a decade, but history often repeats itself, which is why I’ve told parents in my community that I don’t recommend this child care service. As a Christian, I’m very disappointed that this faith based center would be so dismissive, and barely even reinforced the Christian values within the afterschool program. I hope things have changed at this place, but I won’t pretend that my experience never happened. With that being said, I deeply hope that any children currently attending will never have to go through what I did.

I love this daycare! The staff is very friendly. They show a lot of love and attention to the kids individually. My 2 year old never wants to leave.
