I am a former teacher’s assistant at Church of the Lakes Preschool. I chose to leave because of the toxic environment created by some of the teachers including the administrators. I personally witnessed the manner in which this affected the way that a teacher addressed and talked to the students. Parents beware. Don’t be fooled. It is important to me that you know this is the first time I have ever posted a negative review online. I do so because of the sad and serious impact it has on the children.

Our child went from loving pre-school to being terrified of it. The teacher and administration have totally lost sight that a child’s early years in school build the foundation for how a child feels about school throughout their years. Our child had an accident at school. The teacher, administrator, and assistant administrator’s over the top reaction terrified our child. All 3 separately rehashed the issue with us as well. Lord knows how a 3 year old child could deal with that behavior alone with no parents around to feel safe with. A child’s first experience of being away from their parents should NEVER be a bullying session from adults. Both the teacher and the administrators have forgotten they were not “perfect” children, and likely had their share of accidents. It’s not always the students that do the bullying. The only reason I’m not giving them a 0 rating, is because the rating system doesn’t allow it.
