I have used this provider for less than 6 months

It took me a little while to post this review so that way the state could do a proper investigation. My 2 kids ages 2 and 4 years old both attended this school from April until beginning of July. The first few weeks were good and we had no issues. It wasn’t until a new teacher, Miss. Alexis, started working there. Then I would get negative reports about my son and how he has been aggressive and hitting. Then we had a biting incident. I felt guilty as a mom and tried to figure out what could be going on at home. After many attempts to talk to Sakina I finally got ahold of her weeks later. There was a lot of missing information because I was only told what had happened and not why. They don’t have cameras and always would say “it was out of no where” son would act out. I tried at home to take an aggressive approach thinking I was taking it too easy on him. They also said that my son was non-verbal and I should have him evaluated. As weeks continued no matter what I did at home his behavior got worse at daycare. He had several other biting incidents again with no indication of why this was happening and no cameras to show what actually happened. We were suspended for 3 days and I lost work and pay. At this point with the lack of communication with the daycare after getting the run around with Sakina I decided to put a recorder in my sons pants. I would see in a little recording device to hear what was going on. At first my son was doing good after being home for almost a week but after a week the behavior started to change again and that’s when I started listening to the recordings and I was so upset to hear Miss. Alexis constantly yelling at the kids, screaming no, and clapping her hands aggressively. She told my son that he’s the reason she doesn’t want any more kids and that she would have whooped him yesterday if he was her child. She would say very rude and disrespectful things about parents saying she doesn’t know how these parents are raising their children like animals. This was all said in a matter of 2 days. I couldn’t imagine what my son was hearing in months of being under this teacher. I felt guilty now because of how hard I was being on my son when he was already getting verbally attacked at daycare. When I had asked Sakina if she ever goes in to monitor this teacher she said yes and that she is great with kids and is so positive. At this point I knew that this daycare will defend and deny any bad behavior. Also in the recordings my son will get put in time outs multiple times one after they other for almost 30 minutes straight always being blamed when the teachers there would assume my son caused the problem. In the recording Miss. Zaina wanted to write my son up for a biting incident when they had no idea who caused the bite but you hear them say well we all know who it was. They automatically assumed the worst in my child and continue to bully him to the point where he was non verbal, woke up constantly at night scared, he wouldn’t eat, and he was always acting out in frustration. When they found the recording Sakina said it was against their policy and said he couldn’t have it on him. The next day there was magically 2 biting incidents and then after that they kicked him out of the program. I also wanted to wait to do this review after my son is in a new daycare to see how his behavior is there. He is thriving, saying his abcs, counting, and singing. He has been saying complete sentences, and participating more. He is one of the sweetest kids they have said and is very nice to others. The complete opposite of what this daycare did for my son. I hope current and future parents read this and learn from my mistakes of not seeing the red flags from the beginning.
