This place is a joke. They treat the kids poorly, unless you’re a worker or good friends with Tanya. They constantly talk crap about everyone. They are a drama filled place. They tell workers information that they don’t need to know about other people. Literally into everyone’s business. I don’t recommend this daycare for anyone.
My kids love going to daycare, they love the teachers and the care they receive. I know if I have any problems the boss will make sure they are taken care of in a kindly manner. I honestly have no concerns and this is one of the best day cares around the area.
Cubby Bear is a wonderful child care provider! Both of my kids have been going here for a little over 2 years now and love coming here, the summer camp is a huge bonus for my son, he is always looking forward to the trips they have in the summer. I would recommend Cubby Bear to anyone looking for care for their children!
My son loves going to Cubby every morning. Tanya also lets me know what's going on. The app they use let me check in on him whenever I want. It tells me the snacks and meals that he eats. Durning the summer, he was able to go on field trips and go to the park. Lani is very patient with my son. I feel like they are honest and try to work with you and your schedule.
If I was to rate Cubby Bear LLC at a “0” I would this daycare was the worst decision I could’ve made enrolling my child here. I’ve had so many problems with the Daycare. One being I brought my son to daycare 3 minutes early then the drop off time. The manger Tonya Turner ran into the infant to tell me I couldn’t because his drop off time was 8:30am. Tonya Turner also made fase allegation that my son had pink eyes and forced me to pick him up now after only being there for a hour. I took him to his pediatrician after I picked him up from daycare his pediatrician stated that he in fact did not have pink eyes. So I missed work I called the daycare and asked why did they make the claim that he had pink eye when he didn’t. She stated that they thought he did well clearly they don’t know what pink eye really is. Another time I pick my son up after work from Cubby Bear LLC before leaving I requested for a bottle of fresh breast milk due to the Long drive my house is 30 minutes from the daycare. The worker at the time watching him stated that she had no breastmilk thawed out. At that moment I wanted to complete panic because it had been more than three hours since the last time I fed him and you don’t have any breast milk thawed out.. I was pissed he cried the whole way home. I spoke with Tonya Turner and explained how upsetting it was my son had no milk ready Poor decision making. The most recent incident was that Tonya Turner misunderstood my schedule out time for pick up. She decided to charge me for allegedly a late pick up when in fact she was clearly misunderstood my baby pick up time. She got loud Yelling through the phone being extremely disrespectful and then informed me that she was terminating my son from the daycare. Instead of just taking ownership that you misunderstood The pick up time she just decided to kick him out the daycare.F****** real real right so I stated to Tonya well you can’t just kick him out like that I want to talk to the owner and maybe she’ll have better sense than you to say that that was not OK. The next day I called the daycare to speak with the owner which Had been there almost every day When I’ve dropped and pick my son up. Well when this incident occurred she stop showing up. I asked Tonya if I could speak with the owner since she was the only one that was answering the phone. She stated that she had already talk to the owner and she doesn’t want to speak with me to come and to get my son belongings. I said all of this is not right and you’re being completely I need to talk to your boss so Tonya then threaten me if I did not come and pick up My Son‘s belongings she was going to throw all his stuff out and then it would be on me if something happened to it outside of the door then hung up in my face. I called the police to get an escort to the daycare due to how insane The Daycare Manager Tonya Turner they was acting. When I showed up there were three squad cars my boyfriend Alex and Tonya Turner husband But still No Owner Smh. when retrieving my babies belongings there were things that was missing when confronting Tonya about it she stated that she throw it away. I explain to the police she has no right to throw anything away that she didn’t buy. This Daycare had me so convinced that this was a perfect fit for my baby. But I was clearly wrong I later found out that this Daycare had multiple complaints and serious violations with one being a child fell off the infant table causing serious head injury and the Daycare was fine for it. None of this stuff is under google they don’t even have reviews or ratings you have to search under The daycares / complaints and all the information is there
HORRIBLE daycare! Director is absolutely horrible! Kids are treated unfair unless you are a friend of the Director Tanya! There are constantly new employees and they can't keep the staff they have. I swear in the over 2 years we have used them my child had more than 10 different teachers. All not lasting working there.
An incident happened with my youngest that caused a black eye when I contacted Tanya because there was no incident report filled out she said after reviewing the cameras my child fell and hit the end of a table and that the teacher forgot to put in a incident report. I was told we could watch the video but never was provided it. After that incident my child never wanted to stay and would cry when we would drop off and she started to behave differently while there. Tanya blamed it all on things going on at home but thing is nothing was and our child acted completely normal at home and happier when home and not at that daycare! It needs to be shut down
If I could give 0 stars, I would. They do not take care of the children like they should and they do not care about your kids unless you are a friend of Tanya's. They have a revolving door for employees, always firing the ones they don't like. They couldn't explain the marks he would have on him after leaving there, and tried to charge me after I pulled him out of there. The owner didn't even know what was going on.
I had received one report of my child misbahaving after 3 months of attending. I received a text message with a second instance and informed I had to pick him up immediately. Upon doing so, my child was perfectly fine when I arrived. After my husband talked to staff it seemed as though all was fine. I then received a message that my husband's behavior was unacceptable. He simply asked what had happened and what had been done during the situation.
Two days later staff did not get him off of his bus which resulted in my son being taken back to school and the school contacting me. After I contacted the daycare they I formed me they were watching for him and the bus never showed up. Through several phone calls I learned this was a lie and there was video footage of the bus waiting for 11 minutes for someone to come outside. Staff then said they would pick him up from school. An hour later I received a phone call from school that my son was still there. I again called the provider and spoke with Tanya who refused to accept any responsibility. I then had to ask her to pick up my son as she said she was going to an hour prior. When I came to pick up my son that evening Tanya informed me that effective immediately his care was terminated stating that they cannot provide the care I required. Their contract stated they were able to put children on and take children off of the bus. At that time another child threw an object and I asked if they were going to terminate her care as well. I was then threatened to have the police called on me to have me removed. I had simply asked a question. There was no apology for their lack of care and losing my child for 2 hours as he should have been in their care. I was fully charged (and had paid for) the entire week and a deposit, none of which was refunded.
