MRS. BETTY LIN ANDERSONMrs. Betty J. Anderson, founder and CEO of Betty Lin Early Childhood Learning Center. Betty and her late husband Mr. Linard B. Anderson Sr., purchased the school in 1964. The Dallas native and mother of three children (two daughters anda son) had humble beginnings; born in her grandmother’s house in West Dallas on Chihuahua Street, she attended C.F. Carr Elementary School and St. Peters Academy Catholic School. She graduated from Booker T. Washington School in 1953. Mrs. Anderson, later attend and graduated from Bishop College continuing her work in Early Childhood Education in 1972, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. Betty Lin Early Childhood Learning center a staple to the South Oak Cliff Community for over 5o plus years has continued to educate youngminds and create success stories abroad. Betty Lin E.C.L.C, established in 1963, serves the Oak Cliff, Desoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, and Cedar Hill sub-cities of Dallas, Texas. We provide a quality early learners educational program. Engaging place for children to learn and flourish as they grow. We create an environment where children learn life skills as young scholars through experiences and quality curriculum and lesson plans. In January, Betty-Lin E.C.L.C., was reaccredited through “Texas Rising Star” certified providers program, which she had previouslycarried this accreditation for over 5 years during Mrs. Anderson directorship over the school. and was once on the board for Southern Development Corporation. Mrs. Anderson served on the childcare licensing board for more the 5 years, a board that regulates the standards for childcare centers. Mrs. Anderson, served on the board for Southern Development Corporation. Mrs. Anderson served on the board of Child Development Association of Texas, a member of the Texas Licensing for Child Care, National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the DYEYC board. Mrs. Anderson was recognized by SenatorRoyce West, and Ron Kirk Mayor of the city of Dallas in 1995, Betty is a member of the Kirkwood Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. A living legend, Mrs. Betty J. Anderson, who shares her and continued commitment to educating young minds for success. This is a very UNPROFESSIONAL daycare facility, the staff is very unprofessional and has limited communication with the parents. The facility does not maintain updated handbooks or daily, weekly or monthly information to the parents. The staff is not professional when it comes to speaking with parents about their concerns of the daycare, they do not give amble enough time for parents to make changes in their daily work schedules and shows absolutely no compassion to have a facility/parent relationship. I would NOT recommend this facility to any one I come in contact with looking for daycare in the Dallas area or moving to the Dallas area. In my opinion, they should be re-evaluated as a licensed facility.
