Upon inquiry, the director seemed like she had no idea what she was doing and took a long time to get back to us with information. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and sign up for a tour at least. When we arrived a staff answered the door and let us in, but never introduced themselves. The director was on the phone and we waited for about 10 minutes. While waiting we noticed several children going back and forth in the hall with no supervision. Once the director was available we met and discussed the rooms and pricing. Then had a small tour. There were many children in a few rooms with little staff. The rooms were very messy and it smelled of urine in the hallway. The building is very old and not kept well. We decided we would never want to send our child here and went elsewhere.

I am thankful that we removed our son from the care of this facility. The assistant director set him up to get in trouble with us with a lie - that was caught on video. (Thank you, virtual learning!) When we confronted her about this, she insisted that she was being truthful; except that video doesn’t lie. I am realizing that there were many other instances that I feel she was being untruthful with me about the standard of care that they are capable of providing, as well as what actually went on at the center. I was alarmed to see on LARA’s website that they have a special investigative report that states they were caught lying to licensing officials... if they have no issues lying to the licensing department, how can it be expected that they’d be truthful with parents? I would consider carefully against using this facility - and make sure that the place you choose has staff that follow a basic code of ethics and conduct.
