We believe each child is special and holds the future in their hands. All of Me Child Care & Development Inc. offers a quality child care program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged child up to 12 years, that facilitates and nurtures the individual needs and abilities of each child. As a teacher My Role is to support children's learning by preparing materials and a classroom climate of trust and support between the teacher and each child as well each child toward his or her peers. I work to determine when to introduce new materials by observing each child's progress, taking notes, and presenting new ideas to individual children or small groups of children as indicated by their development. Children's creativity is free flowing in this prepared environment. Children can try new activities without fear of reprimand or competition from others. This sense of safety facilitates intellectual development derived from choosing activities that capture and maintain children's interest, and self esteem that comes from accomplishing self-designated learning tasks. Joy is the pervasive emotion that governs children's work. Our program recognizes that children learn differently and at different paces. We value what Howard Gardner termed multiple intelligence's, including aptitudes in music, art, movement, as well as literacy, math, and science. Our program requires small student-to-teacher ratios, which allow for individualized attention. We are working to establish a sound education with all the ideals of individualized learning at the most critical period of a child's life-the preschool, Kindergarten, and primary grades.
