Toddler Time Daycare

I had to place my child in this facility since it was the only one available near my work. They gave me a tour of the place and I felt like it was fairly clean and the staff I met were very nice and able to answer most of my questions. I enrolled my son that week and he started in November of 2021.

Of course my son cried the first couple of weeks to get used to the change which isn't abnormal. Once he started getting used to the place he enjoyed going and favored one caregiver in particular.

Not long after, I started having some concerns with this facility. Between December and January I got a call from the daycare that my son threw up after nap time and I had to come pick him up. I asked the staff member why he threw up and she said he was crying after nap time and she heard some gurgling or vomiting noises from nearby. My son wasn't sick which led me to believe that he cried long enough to make himself sick without anyone checking on him plus having to leave work early with something that was not an emergency.

The second most recent incident had to deal with the bookkeeping. I drop my son off and the director told me I was behind on my payments and she's been waiving late fees this entire time (about 2-3 months worth allegedly). She was going to have me pay almost $900 to catch-up from my "late payments." I pay everything early and on the same time as I pay my own personal bills yet I had not had any issues with my other services. Low and behold after some digging, she found that I was paying everything early and it threw off her invoice schedule or bookkeeping. I fear that had I not said anything and looked into my account history, she would have gladly double charged me with no hesitation. That's a huge red flag.

Just yesterday I dropped my son off and he is no longer excited half the time to attend this facility. I'm not sure if he's sensing my conflicts that I've had but regardless he seems to cry every time he meets the director at the door and he doesn't really do that with the other care givers that normally come to the door. So I find that off putting a bit.

I also have to provide my son with lunch when I drop him off in the mornings. Seems like I'm paying premium price for services that are very lack luster.

To summarize my review, this facility is not the perfect fit for my family.

Very very sad to say 3 days in we discovered it wasn’t a fit . Day 1 dropped her off before school she was crying I get it first day of new school scary I watched the teacher watch her cry from the window walk away with new born baby not comfort my baby or hug her nothing I called the school make sure she finally stop as I had to leave for college Later that day My mom thank the lord it was my mom came in was not ID or anything asked for my daughter for handed my daughter Day 2 had a bite mark that welted and is now a lovely huge purple bruise on her left arm & a diaper rash Let me not forget “she forgot to tell me” or inform me Day 3 ANOTHER BITE MARK on her left arm The lovely owner says “it’s biting season” That’s 3 fricken days . I don’t give a damn what season it is my daughter getting bite marks and bruises every single day or first 3 days being worse damn days . First week of school you worry make sure you’re daughters doing fine . Not only that kids take 2 damn naps like teach them something , That’s not only it you provide all the meals . So it’s like you pay for them to watch them teach them 80 percent there eating sitting in high chair alone while teacher isn’t even paying attention and other half sleeping. Never once received a text on how Oaklynn was like I was told they “text” the parents . Nothing until I got pissed the morning before for not being informed of the bite she texted me same day tell me another one happen. Honestly just go somewhere else you are so better off . That’s it . After 3 days we took her completely out. Poorly ran, super lazy and reported it as well But she made sure text me tell me my balance that it was due asap???? not I’m sorry you feel that way is there something I could of done different nope just hey pay this thanks???????? Oh on top that she called her old daycare without telling me that’s what she was doing and asked personal questions other daycare informed me how inappropriate to it was and let me know right away as for play learn grow owner didn’t even tell me about it at all If I could do less than one star I would -101918 rate. Save another mama from same mistake I made moved here because I felt closer to my school was worth it . ITS NOT
