I didn't have any issues with Mayra's Daycare until the beginning 2022, my kiddos had been with her since April of 2021. First issue was her withholding her EIN numbers because for some reason she thought we selected a "non-taxable option" when it came to paying the weekly fee. That is no such thing, we did not have that conversation at all. She would not provide the EIN until we signed a new contract, if we hadn't signed the contract, she would not have provided it. Red flag number one.
Red flag number two: her new contract changed drastically from the 1st one we signed. She added a bunch of more days off in her contract that was not in the previous one, one day included her anniversary. You would think she would use her PTO for that.
Red flag number three: we signed the new contract, 2 weeks later, she changes her hours of operations and didn't give us a 2 weeks notice. These hours did not work with me and my fiance's schedule. She doesn't ask us if that works for us, she just says her hours has changed.
Contract is very faulty. It was a lot of fraudulent business happening, had I known, I would have never put my kids in her care. She has decided to take me and my fiance to small claims because we didn't give her a two weeks' notice after she breached the contract first after changing hours of operations. I will keep you posted.
