I have used this provider for more than 6 months

They do not believe in communication. When confronted, they offer nothing. Not even a half hearted "sorry for the miscommunication". They don't care about retaining kids, because they know they can easily fill that slot with someone else.
My infant son was sent home with his neck bright red and irritated because they didn't dry it after feedings and let milk and drool just sit in his neck folds.
When I informed them that I was finding another daycare, they just said "ok". Handed me my son and said "bye" not a single "we'll miss him. Hate to see him go". Or even say bye to my son. They don't care about the kids beyond the paycheck they bring in.

This place is ABSOLUTELY unprofessional. They do not provide daily meal consumptions for any of the children. You are not allowed to speak to any of the actual cargivers, only April and her mother. If you speak up, they kick your children out. I had my 3 year old there and asked several times for a pull up to be removed after nap time, as she was in the middle of potty training and that would stall the process. The straw that broke the camels back was on 2/2/22, at 39 degrees outside I simply asked why my 7 month old son had a short sleeve onsie on. I sent weather appropriate changes of clothes daily, only for me to show up with him soiled, stained clothing and food all over his face!!!! I sent cream for a diaper rash that they created ONLY for them TO NOT USE IT, THUS CREATING A HORRIBLE RASH!!!!!! When my husband and I asked, the director Mrs Carruth she was extremely angry and began yelling about how we are asking too much of them, that so much so the caregivers are afraid to touch the children. Her daughter April then gets on the phone and says DONT BRING THEM BACK!!!!!! They don’t want you voicing any concerns whatsoever about your children or your children will be kicked out. They are unprofessional and EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!! DONT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW THEIR DAY WENT!!!!!

I am so grateful that my mother-in-law saw the sign for First Steps #2 five years ago. I was worried that when I returned to work that I wouldn't be able to find quality childcare close to my home. First Steps #2 has been absolutely perfect. I called to see if they had availability and the director told me I could come and tour the facility at any time. I know that both of my children, 5 & 2, are in good hands. I never have to worry about my kids and I can call at any point during the day to check on them if I feel the need. The directors have always been willing to work with us through any issues and I know that my children are safe. When schools were closing for the flu and for the pandemic they remained open and never had to close their doors. I feel they have gone above and beyond to maintain the appropriate health and safety measures for all of the children, and staff, at the facility. They have an excellent curriculum, both of my children have learned so much and I am impressed every day with their development. I have recommended this daycare repeatedly to friends and family and will continue to do so. I absolutely love this facility and the care that my children receive. Give them a call and make the decision for yourself, I wanted my kids at a place where they would have the opportunity to learn and grow and First Steps #2 has been perfect.

The daycare facility is very far out of the city’s view. So basically it’s nowhere to be found, and there are no bus stops in the area. I had called the daycare for a job offer and had an interview set out for me one day. Everything was fine until the next coming week were I was training and shadowing the facility. It was an extremely noisy daycare. I’ve never stepped foot in such a loud daycare like that, and I guess this woman that’s considered the manager of the daycare was extremely switching of her attitude. She didn’t help me with anything through the whole few hours when I was there. She taught me absolutely nothing, and whenever I had my own thoughts about anything she would start chuckling about it. I honestly wouldn’t recommend bringing your kids or babies to this daycare ever, or working here. It’s just not worth it. It’s very unprofessional, their attitudes were awful, and they just flat foot don’t care for any of the actual workers from what I’ve seen.
