Carver Elementary School

My son attended this school for the past 2 years. After he came home and stated a boy had threatened to bring a gun to school the next day to kill him, we raised a concern with the assistant principal. Instead of helping my son, they turned the blame to my son. My son has been coming home frequently complaining of bullying and the only time the school did anything was when it was bad enough that it became physical. When he would try to tell the teacher, he was shushed and told to get back to his desk and do his work. They claim to have a zero tolerance bully policy, yet when addressed they turn to victim blaming. Contacting the school board also did no good. I was told we would have to agree to disagree and that the school has the final say. It got so bad that I had to pull my son from the school and decided to homeschool him. None of my children will ever go back to this school and I would think twice if you are considering sending yours.
