I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I am making this review 3 stars now. Due to my son getting bit here a total of 15 times. Director told me he is still new to be getting bit this many times, this is what she told me when it was his first few bites. I document everything still with pictures. But, now I am considering on taking him to a different daycare, due to his original teacher quitting. Which is a shame because I liked her a lot! Now my son is coming home with shoes on the wrong foot, bug bites on his leg in a row, socks inside out, socks soaked in mud, and dirt underneath his finger nails. And now he has a red ring around his butthole area from an infection. (I have pictures of that as well just took it today). My son has only gotten sick 1 time ever while he used to be with me at home within my care (before I had a job). Yes I was a stay at home mom and I am and still…. VERY protective of my son. So it took a lot of me to consider a daycare. And not just any daycare a 5 star rated one, which now I don’t believe that is the case, due to the issues and battles I had to face. Also, now that I take him to a daycare it seems like he’s getting sick often. They don’t use the temperature reader in the front waiting room anymore. They let kids go in without using it now. And lets not forget the HFMD that was going on with this daycare. My son had it and gave it to me. And I was sick for nearly a week and had to call out of work. I had to start wearing gloves and a face mask when taking my son to daycare, because he no longer had it but I DID! I wanted to protect everyone else at this daycare from me so I suited up so I didn’t spread it. At least I am considerate of others about their well being. I am considering of taking my son out of here soon if I don’t see any good changes here. And yes I have spoken with the Director and Owner of Lad n Lassie, which are two very great people! But I’m tired of dealing with the bites, & injuries (not being written up). Unless I tell them about a certain bite I have seen (all last minute). His new teacher had the audacity to tell me “he didn’t get bit” when in fact he did. I showed her his arm. And she looked at me as if I were making it up. She was shocked when she saw his arm and said “well I didn’t see that happen, I don’t know how that happened.” Well… if I am paying you to watch my kid for $120 per week the least you can do is write him an injury slip (by LAW). Or check my child for any injuries before giving him to me. And this is the reason why I take pictures and date them now for proof. I do this so that I am not called a liar or assumed to be one. Why would anyone go out of their way to makeup something like this? It’s sad that the teacher even told me that. She didn’t even bother to write him a slip for getting bit. The director the next morning had to write me a slip. How upsetting. Made me very upset that day he got bit and no one knowing about it. I know kids will bite one another fast within a blink of an eye. But c’mon! 15 bites total already and he just started in JUNE of 2021! This is the best descriptive review I can write for you parents. If you are considering on taking your child/or children here, get prepared for a headache of checking your child 24/7 for bites or bruises as soon as you pick them up. That is something to think about if you want to deal with a heartache and a headache. Unfortunately, I can’t just take him out right away because I work and don’t have my family here to watch him. I am from Philadelphia so you can kind of see why I’m dealing with a migraine with this right now. Thanks if you made it this far to my review. Have a great day or evening! -Eve E.

I worked there briefly and I absolutely enjoyed it. The owner is a great person to work for and her daycare is in order and up to code. She does an excellent job making sure everything is taken care of! When I have children if I live close enough I will use them!
