The Kids' Advocacy Coalition (KAC) After School Child Care Program is designed to enrich children's lives educationally, socially, culturally, emotionally, physically, and provide a safe setting for children to reduce the number of children home alone. The KAC program meets the needs of children by creating an environment that offers a base of warmth and security while at the same time providing a variety of recreational, social, and academically oriented activities. The children are provided a daily snack to meet nutritional needs. The program also meets the needs of the children by increasing opportunities for inter-generational interaction and by supplementing nurture provided by the family.
