This is really, really not the place for you if you expect your child not to be bullied. For months, my child was injured by another child: kicked in the face while he was playing on the ground, being hit over the head with objects, being pushed down, called names, etc. My once vibrant and excited preschooler no longer wanted to go to his classroom, and told me how afraid he was. I know that another child had to be moved from the classroom due to this bully because their parents “replied all” to the classroom emails, and my child confirmed this. When I asked that my child be moved to any other classroom to protect him, I was told that it wasn’t possible due to COVID-19 restrictions. The director Jill told me this, the same director who takes parent parking so she can be close to the door, the same director who tried to excuse the other child’s behavior because there is “trouble at home.” As if the home life of another child should have anything to do with the safety of mine. When I stated that the behavior that lasted from August through January was bullying, Jill told me that “children just interact differently.” We left the first week of February and I am getting my vibrant child back. Don’t let this place crush your child’s spirit.
