I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Proceed with caution!
My daughter came home and told me her teacher took her nap mat away and grabbed her arm. I informed the director and she agreed with me that it looked like a grab mark and said she would watch tapes and talk to the teacher. After my shift at North Star, I asked the director for a follow up and she said she couldn’t see the tape because it was too dark and she will talk to the teacher and get back to me. The next day I went back into work and spoke to the director and one of the owners. They made me feel so small and told me that my daughter is lying and stood by their teacher. (I was a teacher there too at this time) All of a sudden they can now see the tape but did not let me watch it all the way through. They asked me what I wanted to do. I wanted to talk to my husband and other teachers to see their point of view before I make any decisions. They next day I went back to work and my husband met with them himself because I was an emotional wreck. Knowing my child was hurt and her teacher did it and then the director and owners feeding me info that it couldn’t happen. And I too worked there and didn’t want to believe it. They did the same thing to my husband. So I asked them if I can confront and talk to the teacher. I confronted the teacher and she confessed and told me that on that day my daughter was singing on her nap mat. She wouldn’t stop and took away her nap mat. Then she was crying. She wasn’t stopping as was afraid she was going to wake up the other kids so she moved her cot away and grabbed her arm and grabbed it too hard. She started crying and apologizing to me. I was in shock! So I immediately told the director and she said why would she admit to it if it wasn’t on tape. I told all the teachers what happened and ended up pulling my girls and quitting. I reported them to licensing. They still did not take action in reporting or talking to the teacher. Instead they coached that teacher. They are standing by saying it’s not on tape. There is no doubt in my mind that if I were to bring police there and confront her she once again would fess up. I could have done a police report but then she would be facing criminal charges and I can ruin her life. I’m not that kind of person. Her company steered her wrong and should have let her go, reported it and moved on. I would still be working there and my children would still be attending. But good news (and sad) is by doing this it has exposed so much more and I would never feel comfortable knowing what I know in sending my children or any children there. They were investigated by CPS. They were cited. I got justice. I asked the investigator if what the teacher told me matches the tapes and she says yes. She also said they go off camera for a little. A teacher that has worked there for 14 years knows where the cameras are.

I pray they clean up and run a business that protects the safety of the children.
