Shining Light Learning Center

Run far from here. The fact they are in the back of a church is decieving. These people are Satan. Especially the director and her assistant. My child was assaulted and no one told me. When my child told me the center tried to brush it under a rug. After that my child and another were loud at the lunch table, the other child was yelled at and my child was sent away from the table and further not allowed to have lunch (my child is 4). The director lies so much as does her director. When you remove your children don't tell them who you're going to. We moved our child to an in home and so happens she attends the directors church there and they went so far as to threaten the woman if she continues to allow our child to be in her care. She called me late at night about it. There are so many other things but I'm going to wait to let that out there til it's all been investigated. But run, run far. It's extremely deceiving.

PREJUDICE!!!!!! This daycare is 99% african/american & treat the white children horribly! Not to fond on how I've seen them treat bi-racial children also. They do NOT fill out paperwork as they should. They do not interact with these children. The child i speak of, I did NOT sign up for this daycare as it was out of my hands, however I would NEVER recommend this place. The child I know that goes here has been here almost a year & has NOT learned ANYTHING from these teachers. NOTHING!!!!! I have encouraged the parent to find another place ASAP & has latched on to two possibilities....so the parent will soon be giving them a piece of their mind & cancelling their NON-services... They also lied on a parent picking up...I heard the entire conversation over video from them recording on phone. The director wrote a letter that she felt threatened....TOTAL LIE!!!!! Even have it recorded for DHS to listen to as I feel they need to know details about this facility. Sorry not sorry!!!

Today I went to "tour" the facility and was appalled when I seen several children playing outside alone with no adult in sight. I found the entrance and there was 1 worker inside cleaning a table with about 3 kids in there playing where she was, I told her I was possibly interested in the after-school program and would like an application. She then left those children in that room alone and mind you several children still outside and we walked through a dark room with toddlers sleeping alone with no adult in there. I asked her if she was the only worker with all these children and she said no, but she is the only person I seen in the facility. As she gave me the papers (I threw away) a boy maybe 10 came I n and told her a younger child maybe 5 had to use the restroom, she gave him some keys and told him to take him. I found that inappropriate also. Needless to say these kids are unattended and the place gave me the willies and I reported what I seen. I do not recommend that facility to anyone.
