We registered our 1 & 3 year old at New Hope for the 2018-2019 school year. I should have followed my gut and pulled them after the first week. Our 3 year old was placed in the two year old room because he birthday was a few days after September 1. His “teachers” were nothing more than glorified babysitters that I wouldn’t even hire to babysit my kids at home. They were not welcoming or nurturing to the children. He rarely came home with art or crafts. When the weather was anything below 65 degrees or over 90 degrees, they didn’t take them outside to play. Which means he only got to play on the playground for a few weeks.
I emailed the director asking for him to be moved up to the 3 year old room because I felt he wasn’t being engaged enough in his room and was given a defensive response that he was. He regressed significantly and the time we spent there was a waste.
I would not recommend this child care program to anyone and would encourage others to seek other alternative options.
