I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

I interviewed at this school with my son. I was so unimpressed with how the teachers handled the interview that I withdrew our application for admission. Neither teacher introduced herself to my child, but they expected him to articulately introduce himself to children he had never met. This strikes me as adults who expect children to behave in a way that they themselves don’t behave. Rather than engaging my child in play and observing how he played and interacted with others, they asked him to sit independently in his own seat before he was comfortable and peppered him with questions. When he didn’t have the answer they were looking for, they asked leading and judgmental questions. There was no effort to engage him in a creative, kind or playful way, which is how I would have hoped preschool teachers would interact with children. They seem to run a very controlled and quiet environment. I suspect the children who attend are extremely well mannered and well behaved. But I wonder if they get to be kids? Any remotely elevated voice was corrected. Playing with toys in a way that the teachers didn’t approve was also corrected. If you want a well-behaved child who follows instruction, this might be the school for you. If you want your child to be a kid, be playful, and be themselves, I would go elsewhere.
