Taylor Learning Center, Llc

My child attended both 3 and 4 yr preschool at Taylor Learning Center. We researched and toured several other area preschools, prior to making our decision. The planned lessons, activities and gym facility here are ultimately what helped us decide. My child LOVED Taylor Learning Center and Miss Karen. Not only did the learning far exceed our expectations, but it helped with pre-reading strategies. By the end of 4 year preschool, my child was very well prepared for kindergarten! Miss Karen is very compassionate with the students as well. She has an enthusiasm for teaching and school that provides an excellent foundation for a first school experience. I highly recommend this program.

I am writing in response to the first review on 9/9/19 from BBBB
We have set an alarm to go off at 8:54 and start unloading students at 8:55 as stated in handbook. We may have been later in the past and I apologize. You are always welcome to walk your chid at the door instead of using the car line.

Our ratio this year is 1 to 8 for our 4 yr old program. This ratio is way below state recommendations. We currently have three teachers for the 24 students.
As far as the field trips go,
By no means do I plan field trips to get out of teaching. I love teaching and giving students a fun and learning experience. All field trips are educational for preschoolers. On the date this 1st review was written, we only had 1 field trip planned. TLC usually has 2 or 3 a year.

This center has a few issues I am not happy with. First of all the school day is suppose to begin at 9am and end at 11:30am. The way the drop off works is a line and the teacher gets the child out of the car. The teachers should begin this process at 8:50 instead they begin it at 9am which means all the students aren't in the building until 5 and sometimes 10 minutes past the start of the school day. This is very frustrating because my child is missing out on that time. Not only that but I am also paying for a 2.5 hour school day. My second issue with this center is there are 25 students in the classroom. I am not happy with the student/teacher ratio. These children are 4 years old and 25 students is a lot. The owner also plans to many field trips. These students are only attending 7.5 hours of preschool a week. They do not need to be out of the classroom as much as she has planned. I find these field trips a way for the owner to get out of teaching and lessen her responsibility. I believe this facility could improve in these 3 areas and it would change my rating dramatically.
