I have been a client of Butterfly for over 2 years and both of my boys attend. Therese has cared for them as they were her own and her childcare is really top notch for young kids.
She has shared so many great activities with the kids and engages them everyday to learn and play in productive ways. She is great at adjusting her routine around the kids, their needs, and their abilities. She has taught my boys (and even myself) so much over these last few years.
Overall, a fabulous place!
My kids loved Butterfly Childcare! It was so sad when we moved and couldn’t take our 6 month old and 2 year old there. Any parent would be lucky to get the opportunity for Nanny to care for their children!
Therese, or “Nanny” as she is better known, is a phenomenal childcare provider. My daughter adores her and vice versa, and I trust Therese 100% to watch my daughter, and to watch my 3-month old baby. If you can get your child into Butterfly Daycare, your family will be forever grateful.
Although the provider was great with my son, she was not professional with parents. Privacy and gossiping with other parents created a lot of turmoil amongst relationships with the provider. Reliability was also an issue. Last minute cancellations and same day texts to have early childcare pick up really trickled down to affect my job. My husband would bring my son to drop him off for daycare and a lot of times the provider was just getting out of bed, causing my husband to miss his train into DC. Ultimately, this repetitive unprofessionalism took its toll and we actually have sought care elsewhere. We are looking forward to an emotionally stable, professional and reliable overdue change.
