Reviewed complaint, noted facility is being completely renovated too to bottom. The review entailed check of new steps and procedures. It was determined the past owners may have had lack procedures and prior state inspections were poor as the new ownership immediately recognized the dishwasher was not to the state mandatory standards for cleanliness, that has been changed to the required industrial standard required.

As to the aforementioned issues of biting etc., my years of experience and with my children and those of friends the 3 year and under children bite for many reasons, none of which can be caught every time, daycares are not one on one.

This facility is going to be the premier facility in the Omaha area on 24 months as they have instituted an educational program that will greatly benefit the young children.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

DO NOT TAKE YOUR YOUNG CHILDREN HERE! FIND A DIFFERENT DAYCARE! My son had been going to this daycare from 6 weeks to 18 months old. He had a great teacher and was sad she left when he was 15 months old. We really liked the managers but when the new owner, Nikki, took over, a lot of things went downhill from there: her attitude, nutrition concerns, and children’s behavior. 1) Nikki seemed very nice and caring right off the bat to my husband and me. However, as more time went on, we noticed over a few months’ time, that she really didn’t seem like she cared much for the children at all. Any issue you tried to talk to her about, she acted like she would listen, but her response was the complete opposite. She does not know how to communicate effectively with parents. 2) My son had very few teeth and didn’t want him eating meat at the moment, but there were multiple times that they kept trying to feed him meat, against what we wanted. We had also asked for him to get a chance to finish his milk after eating and trying to offer him an additional milk throughout the day. The response from Nikki was that she can give him an extra bottle of milk but there was no fridge in that classroom to store it, so it would sit out all day. I highly doubt anyone would think letting milk sit out all day for an infant was remotely a good idea, but that was the response from her. It was like pulling teeth trying to get them on the same page with his diet. 3) The last thing that threw us over the edge was the amount of bites that were breaking his skin through his clothes that he kept getting multiple times unnoticed. The teacher he had after his first one, kept claiming she had no idea how it happened or that she didn’t see it and Nikki was ok with that answer from his teacher. My son had to have been screaming for these kinds of bites. We understand bites will happen, but when your son is getting bit weekly and no one is noticing, that is completely unacceptable. When they did find out who was biting, they did almost nothing to stop this child from biting, because we were told from Nikki that there would NEVER be negative repercussions for biting. His teacher was clearly not watching the children and then not noticing when my son was in distress. They never once told me or my husband that our son was aggressive or misbehaving to the other children for these bites to happen. They also told us that the child that was biting would bite whether he was happy or mad. Our son would have multiple bites break through the skin, through his clothes and no one noticed. It doesn’t matter if you are an uninvolved parent or an overly involved parent, you pay for a service for your most precious thing in your life, your child. The daycare is providing a service to you and the parent will always be right. I am sure Nikki will try to come up with some clever response to this review since she will never take any fault or responsibility. She’ll even go as far as disabling reviews on the Facebook page, so you can’t leave a review. Please do yourself a favor and not take your child to this daycare, especially if they are too young to be able to talk and communicate to you what happens there. You can always contact DHHS and ask about the complaints against TenderAcres owned by Young Years Academy LLC, to find out yourself.
